Und so sucht sie nach einem Weg… ihn aus dem Leben ihres beliebten Kindes. Eine humorvolle Geschichte, begleitet live mit neuen Interpretationen von bekannten Musikstücken, die zusätzlich Launen eines Eheleben in Fokus bringen.

Scenes from a Marriage - a musical comedy with a tragic note

The story is as old as the world, with a love triangle in it.
Son-in-law, wife and mother-in-law. The mother-in-law does not love her son-in-law. What’s worse, she doesn't even like him very much, so she's looking for a way to ... get him out of the life of her beloved child.
A story full of humour, accompanied live with new interpretations of famous musical pieces, which additionally emphasise the drama of the marital vicissitudes.

Als das einzige Theater in Polen produziert es auch die Stücke nach der Theaterforum-Methode, während denen der Zuschauer zu einem aktiven Teilnehmer und Mitgestalter des Spektakels wird, was gesellschaftlich eine befreiende Wirkung haben soll.

The comedy offer of TEATR XL is based on questions, which are important for the citizens of Warsaw, as well as the Polish people of today. Through laughter and entertainment, it inspires the people to reflect upon the surrounding reality. 

TEATR XL breaks the stereotype image of the theatre space, limits the scenography at/to the symbolic, but focuses on the relation between the actor and the viewer. 

TEATR XL works with theatre groups from the whole world, among others with Créarc (Grenoble), Theatre Litensky (Omsk), Performing Arts at PUC (Rio de Janeiro), Istituto Teatrale Europe (Rom), in this way it supports the development of the actors, exchange of thoughts and artistic search.

It’s the only theatre in Poland, which produces also plays with the method of forum theatre, during which the audience becomes an active participant and a co-creator of the show, which is supposed to be socially liberating.
